Yes well, it is not up to me. Had it been I would have bought a new one. Now that I jumped through all the hoops my dad wanted me too, I have received this advice. BUY A NEW ROUTER! The exact same thing both myself and DE told him... But nope, he was sure he was right. Anyways, that is the deal on that now.

did you do all the ping test and such to see where your signal was lost?? that would have pointed to the problem pretty quickly ....

had a great nap...my ear is feeling a bit better but the fight with the virus continues.

Ya, couldn't ping anything. So we got a new router and stuff and it is all hooked up now. Though it took forever and calling India to get it hooked up. For some reason the router and modem wouldn't communicate and thus wouldn't give us internet. But we got it all figured out now.

lol Oh that hurt. Got up this morning, and it was broke again. Called India, they said it wasn't them, called Comcast, they sent out a service tech and he says yup, its us (Comcast). So it is working atm but until the maintenance guys come out and take care of the issue it could drop at any moment.

'oh, yes, it is not us, no'....(says the indian guy sanjay)....comcast--really have never liked them (sister has them and has had tons of problems--with just the cable part, cant imagine having my dsl with them ---shivers)......
glad it worked out, again.

still working on that cold---blasted thing knocked me out for half of yesterday.

Ya, well Comcast support is in Texas, so it was nice to hear an American voice, instead of an Indian one.

my speed tests always look crummy due to the really old wired job they have to go thru (they may have updated the speed, but the old copper craap just cant handle it)...and I would never get my internet thru the cable company (which ever one it happens to be this week---has changed so many times I dont even write their name on the checks when I pay the bills).....not to mention the crummy service (since they have been bought out again and again --we still have the same people who worked for the original company and did no work for them, why would they do anything for their new owners???).

anyways, dont like any of our options, but the cable company is probably the worst of the choice available!
though glad it does work for some.

I missed my first class of the semester because I overslept...luckily it was a really minor one and most people that went wished they had stayed in bed.

And I almost ate rotten meat...It didn't look really rotten except for one tiny green/brown spot. So I was highly suspicious (when it comes to food, I'm suspicious of everything). I "opened" it and it turned out that it wasn't only a tiny spot. Still I thought "meh maybe it's normal, but still...". So I started to cook it...it didn't smell really good like it generally does...it ended in the garbage right away.

We got a Motorola Surfboard modem SB6120 or something like that and a Netgear Wireless N dual band router. The modem is apparently supposed to be extremely fast. The router is just supposed to be good. But put together they equaled AMAZING.

We didn't get much snow here but it is still cold, though not as cold as the NE.

I cant count the number of classes I missed for one reason or another (yeah I even slept thru a final critique for my weaving class---got a B

...had been up the whole night finishing it and just couldnt stay awake ---the art room had a nice sofa that we were all sitting on for the final....dont remember much until my bf woke me up to say it was over).

Unless attendance is mandatory I would not worry about it.

In college people skip classes all the time. Pretty much a norm. I never worried about it when someone missed a class, though I went to everyone that I could go too. I just always felt like if I skipped I would miss something really important...

yeah I went to most classes, mostly because I learn by listening and not reading (could have something to do with my partial blindness?)...so if I missed a lecture, doing the reading wouldnt help me much....this is also why I was an art major--required you to do stuff in class, hard to catch up with some of it (and very little outside class reading

). I liked to work with my hands so fine arts worked out well for me (in college, not in RL).

I like to learn both ways, through text and listening. I feel like I do better when I do both instead of doing one or the other. But that is just me.

Welp, it is Tuesday... Yup, that is about all I have to say about that. Oh though we do get to listen to Oboma try to tell us how he hasn't completely screwed up this country. That should be umm interesting?

I don't like the miss a class...I always feel like if I don't go, I'm going to regret it because we might learn something important. But since I knew what we were going to do in that class and I knew that it was going to be boring, it didn't bother me too much.

I learn by listening and writing. Sometimes I don't even read what I write afterwards.
